Emilia Hi, welcome to Europe Builds. I'm Emilia.
Erik And I'm Erik.
Emilia Okay, this is a little introduction to our London edition. Before we get into any news, here's what we want this conversation to feel like.
Erik Two curious people trying to work something out. If an idea sounds exciting, I want to ask what someone would actually do with it.
Emilia Exactly. Imagine someone shows you a new app. My first question would be, what annoying bit of my day is this supposed to fix?
Erik And mine would be, would I still use it after the first week? Which is probably the less glamorous question.
Emilia Maybe, but it's the one I'd want us to keep asking. Let's leave room for that sort of conversation, rather than racing through a list.
Erik We can disagree, too. I might love an idea you find completely unnecessary. I'd quite like to hear you try to convince me.
Emilia Careful what you wish for. When we cover a story, we want to explain what the sources support and be clear about our own interpretation.
Erik And if something is uncertain, let's say so. A good question can be more interesting than pretending we've already got the answer.
